Doha, Qatar: Qatar’s real estate sector is entering a new phase of growth and transformation, with investment, technology and innovation taking centre stage as the fourth edition of the Qatar Real Estate Forum 2026 prepares to bring together leading industry figures from across the region and beyond.
Held under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani the three-day forum will take place from October 27 to 29 at DECC in partnership between Real Estate
Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) and Informa Tharawat.
During a press conference held yesterday, Aqarat revealed key updates about the forum which will explore key themes including real estate financing, investment returns, portfolio diversification, and the tokenization of real estate assets, alongside the impact of economic and technological developments, sustainability, and geopolitical and economic shifts of the sector.
The forum is being held in strategic partnership with Cityscape Qatar, continuing cooperation aimed at strengthening Qatar’s real estate investment environment, enhancing governance and transparency, and attracting capital through joint events and platforms.
Addressing the event, President of Aqarat Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki said, “The forum comes at a time of rapid geopolitical developments that are affecting different sectors and markets.
Despite regional complexities, Qatar’s real estate sector has demonstrated resilience and robust growth. Data from the Ministry of Justice’s Real Estate Registration Department reveals that real estate transactions in Qatar reached QR10.69bn during the first half of 2026.

Al Malki said, “Aqarat aims to launch a forum that keeps pace with the positive transformations witnessed by the sector, enhances integration and connectivity among various stakeholders, and opens broader horizons for building strategic partnerships and exploring qualitative investment opportunities.”
The fourth edition will focus on how global capital is currently being directed toward major restructuring of investment portfolios, driven by high technological transformations and the search for safe havens that provide sustainable returns.
Global financial reports point to four prominent areas currently attracting international investment: artificial intelligence, tokenized real-world assets, energy technology, and regional markets, he added.
Qatar’s Council of Ministers approved, on August 26, 2026, a draft law regulating real estate tokenization and the trading of real estate tokens, as well as its draft executive regulations.
Also speaking during the press conference, Wouter Molman, Chief Commercial Officer at Informa Tharawat, said “The forum helps translate regulatory reforms into tangible market activity.
Aqarat’s regulatory leadership, combined with Cityscape’s international platform and global network, can connect Qatari developers with GCC and international investors, helping convert market access into foreign direct investment and strengthening Qatar’s position as a global real estate investment destination in support of economic diversification under Qatar National Vision 2030, he added.
He further said, “With Cityscape empowering the fourth edition of the Qatar Real Estate Forum, we are strengthening our commitment to Qatar, and creating even greater connections between Qatar and the global real estate community. And the strength of Qatar’s real estate market gives us every reason to be confident about the opportunities ahead. According to the Ministry of Justice, the value of real estate transactions reached QR10.7bn in the first half of 2026.
“That is an increase of nearly 6% compared to the same period last year. This remarkable achievement reflects continued market activity and resilience at a time of regional concern. Economic stability, advanced infrastructure, and an evolving regulatory framework all matter to the investors making long-term decisions,” he added.
