Doha, Qatar: Chairman of Qatar Chamber (QC) Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani received yesterday H E Juha Mustonen, Ambassador of Finland to Qatar, in the presence of Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba, Second Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, and Eng. Ali bin Abdul Latif Al Misnad, Board Member.
The two sides discussed trade and economic relations between Qatar and Finland and ways to further develop them, as well as prospects for cooperation between the two countries’ business communities in several sectors.
They also discussed organising a Qatari-Finnish Business Forum on September 29, at the Chamber’s headquarters, bringing together a group of business leaders and representatives of Finnish and Qatari companies to explore opportunities for cooperation and partnership.
For his part, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim affirmed Qatar Chamber’s keenness to facilitate cooperation between Qatari companies and their Finnish counterparts, noting the interest of Qatari business leaders in strengthening relations with their Finnish counterparts, benefiting from advanced technologies, and establishing effective partnerships that serve the economies of both countries.
For his part, the Finnish Ambassador said that the Finnish delegation participating in the forum includes companies specialising in education, security technology, artificial intelligence, space, energy, telecommunications, and other sectors.
He noted that the delegation comprises a number of Finnish business leaders representing many leading Finnish companies, including Nokia, Tesi, and Patria, stressing that these companies are keen to explore opportunities available in the Qatari market.
