A Ministry official conducts training programme.
Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, represented by its Intellectual Property Rights Protection Department, concluded a two-day training programme on the Madrid Protocol for the international registration of trademarks.
The programme was held in cooperation with the GCC Intellectual Property Training Centre and attended by a number of Ministry employees.
The programme covered the Madrid Protocol and its procedures, including the process for registering trademarks internationally.
It also examined the main practical aspects of international registration, helping participants develop their knowledge and skills in trademark registration and the protection of intellectual property rights.
The programme forms part of the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise with specialised organisations, and to develop staff capabilities in the field of intellectual property.
These efforts contribute to the development of Qatar’s intellectual property rights protection system and enhance the competitiveness, diversification and investment appeal of the national economy.
