After getting the Al Markhiya breakthrough, Al Sadd are now eyeing Al Sailiya scalp as the two sides meet for the QNB Stars League (QSL) tie at  Al Ahli Stadium today.
Head coach Jesulado Ferriera said his team will have to remain focused against Al Sailiya.
“I don’t know the strategy of Al Sailiya for this match, but we must focus on our performance in order to get the result we need.”
While giving an update on star Bagdad Bounjah, the Portuguese coach said: “Bounjah had a serious injury in the Sheikh Jassim Cup. We will make a decision on him in the coming days. However we have a big squad, and we have players who can replace Bounedjah if he is unavailable against Al Sailiya.
Al Sailiya, on the other hand will also be  looking to inflict early season misery over Al Sadd.
The Peregrines registered a fine opening day win against Al Arabi and will be targeting for more of the same.
Head coach Sami Trabelsi said his team will have to give their best show against the title contenders.
“We will have to be at full concentration against Al Sadd. Usually these games are special occasions, and we have to be ready for the challenge of Al Sadd, who will be looking to get their first victory,” said the coach.
He said after their first game against Markhiya, Al Sadd will come hard on their opponents in their next matches.
“We have to follow up on our good match against Al Arabi. We have to nullify the Al Sadd attack and fight right until the very end of the game” added Trabelsi.
The Al Sailiya coach, however said his team will enter the battle with full confidence.
“Based on training over the week, the squad seems very confident. Sailiya have won their opening game for the first time in their history and we have to build from the momentum.”
Al Rayyan will take on Al Kharaitiyat while Qatar SC and  Al Markhiya will square off in other matches of the day.
