New Delhi: India's federal health ministry on Saturday listed symptoms to watch for H1N1 influenza cases and urged people to remain alert.

In an advisory posted on social media, the ministry said H1N1 can cause fever, cough, sore throat, headache, runny nose, body aches and fatigue. Other symptoms listed include lethargy, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, joint and muscle pain and diarrhoea.

Local media reports said Delhi has recorded 1,777 H1N1 cases this year, as flu infections rise in several states.
