A toast to 100th meeting: AMU Alumni Association Toastmasters club celebrates stories of legacy

Doha, Qatar: AMU Alumni Qatar Toastmasters Club, a division of the Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association Qatar (AMUAAQ), an associate organization of the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) under the aegis of the Indian Embassy in Qatar, celebrated its 100th meeting at Centro Capital Rotana Hotel on June 17, 2025 in, Doha.
The event, themed “100 Stories; One Legacy,” was opened by club president Dr. Mohammed Nayeem, whose powerful message highlighted how the singular legacy of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, who founded AMU in 1875 to uplift society through education, inspires countless stories of growth and empowerment. 
The meeting, attended by members, guests from other Toastmasters clubs, and CGD elect Eman Salameh, DTM, who delivered an inspiring address on leadership, featured dynamic speeches, engaging table topics, evaluations by Christopher Almeisea, DTM, and a cake-cutting ceremony. 
Over the past four years, the AMU Alumni Qatar Toastmasters has achieved remarkable milestones, as highlighted during the celebration. The club has empowered over 50 members to complete their Pathways projects, and has hosted and has participated in numerous speech contests, nurturing champions who represented club at regional levels. The club’s community outreach, including charity events and educational seminars, has strengthened ties within the Indian diaspora in Qatar, aligning with Sir Syed’s vision of social progress. 
Founder president- Jawed Ahmad, and past presidents - Dr. Nadeem Jilani, Dr. Ashna Nusrat, and President Dr. Nayeem shared inspiring messages, emphasizing perseverance, unity, joyful learning, and servant leadership, respectively. 
Speaking on the 100th meeting, Charter President and past area 19 Director , Jawed Ahmad took the audience on a flashback ride as he shared about the early days of the club and the journey to date.
