Doha, Qatar: QatarEnergy honored the dedication, commitment, and long service of 108 employees, who have reached career milestones of 30, 35, 40, and 45 years of service.
Organised as QatarEnergy’s recognition of its human capital, the “My Legacy” recognition ceremony was held under the patronage of the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy H E Saad Sherida Al Kaabi.
In his remarks at ceremony, H E Saad Sherida Al Kaabi thanked the dedication and commitment of the recognised employees, saying: “Your contributions have been very instrumental in our transformation from QGPC to Qatar Petroleum, and now to QatarEnergy, and the huge growth we have witnessed over several decades. Throughout these years we have witnessed unprecedented growth, achieved a number of successful mergers, consolidated our international operations and presence, and grew our LNG and petrochemical capacity. This would not have been possible without your efforts and the hard work of our leadership team.”
H E Minister Al Kaabi highlighted some of QatarEnergy’s milestones in this transformation, including the North Field expansion project, which will raise the State of Qatar’s LNG production from 77 million tons per annum to 126 million tons.
“Our growth path witnessed strategic projects like developing Idd Al-Sharqi, Al-Shaheen, and Al-Rayyan fields, the Barzan Gas Plant, the Ras Laffan Petrochemical Plant, the Golden Pass LNG project and the Golden Triangle Polymers Plant in Texas, Al-Kharsaah Solar Power Plant, and
the Ammonia-7 plant, which constitute very important landmarks in serving Qatar’s growth requirements and providing hydrocarbon products for the local and international markets. We are also enhancing our marketing capabilities and have embarked on the largest ship building program in the world,” H E added.
H E encouraged honored employees to continue with their leadership and exceptional teamwork, as well as with mentoring the new talent that speaks very well about QatarEnergy’s future.

H E Minister Al Kaabi said: “I am proud of our great teams and leaderships working around the clock in different parts of the world and across many QatarEnergy companies, affiliates, and joint projects. Such great achievements could not have been realised hout the dedicated efforts of all our QatarEnergy family in all locations and from all positions. I would like to thank you for your wisdom, for your leadership, and for your dedication, and to thank your families for supporting you and for their sacrifices to help make QatarEnergy succeed.”
