Doha: Qatar is taking part in the Regional High-Level Meeting on Young People’s Learning, Skilling, Social Inclusion and Transition to Decent Work, taking place in Amman, Jordan, on May 23-24.
Qatar's delegation to the meeting is chaired by Minister of Sports and Youth H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali.
Qatar’s participation in this important regional forum aims at highlighting the great interest that the State attaches to investing in youth, and its efforts to promote work, participation, empowerment and leadership among youth, and to support youth of both genders to provide them with skills relevant to the labour market in particular, and social skills and life in general; as well as supporting social and business entrepreneurship and enhancing youth participation in public life; in addition to the State’s international efforts in supporting youth at the regional and international levels and providing learning and decent work opportunities.
The regional meeting aims to exchange experiences among the participants on the achievements of countries in providing an enabling environment for social projects led by youth, and to benefit from international partnerships. It is expected that the meeting will contribute to crystallising strategic initiatives and tangible measures to achieve progress in this field.
