DOHA: A diabetes booth will go live this month at the Diabetes Clinic at Al Wakra Hospital, under the National Health Insurance Scheme (Seha).
The Seha Diabetes Management Programme was established 18 months ago to lower the risks associated with the disease by improving members’ health by educating them.
The booth will operate from 7am to 3pm from Sunday to Thursday under a team of nurses and customer support staff who have received specialised training to engage with Seha members on how to improve their health.
Members will experience a personalised interaction with healthcare professionals that supports their physician care by educating them on topics related to their disease such as nutrition, medications and potential complications.
While engaging with members during their visit to the clinic, the team will support the physician’s treatment plan and provide associated support in between meetings through a private support line. Members can contact the  line as many times as they need.
Those interested to enrol into the programme may contact the call centre on 8008800 or drop by one of the booths in Seha clinics.
