The Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association (Amuaaq) held a function at Grand Qatar Palace Hotel recently to release the DVD of the 196th birth anniversary celebrations of Sir Syed Day and the book Dastakon ke Nishan, written by Nadeem Mahir. M S Bukhari, Managing Director of Satco International, was the chief guest and the event was held under the patronage of Habibun Nabi, chief patron of Amuaaq. General secretary Osama Shamsi convened the programme. Aqueel Ahmad, patron, delivered the welcome address. Bukhari presented a memento to Mahir for his achievements in Urdu poetry. Rashid Siddiqui, vice president, proposed the vote of thanks.
