Qatar's Abdullah Hamad Salem Abu Shareedah has qualified for the final stage of Tripoli International Competition of Holy Quran, Azm Tripoli Prize, in Lebanon.
Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al Hariri stressed in a speech during an official ceremony last night the importance of the memorisation and recitation of Holy Quran for Muslims.
For his part, Abu Shareeda said that he has made it to the final stage thanks to the continuous attention of Qatar to its citizens and the provision of centres for learning and memorising the Holy Quran, expressing his hope to win the first prize.
Participants from thirty countries around the world are taking part in the contest.
