Doha: The draw for the 21st edition of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters has thrown up some interesting looking groups.
Defending champion Jeunghun Wang will get his second appearance at Doha Golf Club underway at 07:20 when the South Korean tees it up alongside Thongchai Jaidee and Pablo Larrazábal, with that threeball, who share an impressive 15 European Tour titles between them, starting from the 10th tee.
Chris Wood, another former Qatar Masters champion, will look to repeat his 2013 heroics when he starts his 2018 challenge alongside the impressive Shubhankar Sharma, who has two European Tour wins from his last five starts, and the 2017 KLM Open winner, Romain Wattel.
Elsewhere, Thorbjørn Olesen will have Japan’s Hideto Tanihara and Julian Suri for company on days one and two, while Olesen’s Danish compatriots Lucas Bjerregaard and European Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjørn, have been drawn alongside Adrian Otaegui.
Andy Sullivan will also be in action in Doha this week, with the popular Englishman playing with Australia’s Scott Hend and Paraguay’s Fabrizio Zanotti today and tomorrow.
