Weather inshore until 6.00am today is expected to be hazy and cloudy with scattered rains and thundery weather at places becoming misty by late night, the Department of Meteorology has said in its daily weather report, warning of thunderstorm with strong wind.
Offshore, it will be hazy and partly cloudy at times with chance of scattered rains, the report added, warning of strong wind and high sea expected by midnight.
Wind inshore will be northeasterly to southeasterly at a speed of 03-08 knots, at first becomes northwesterly 10-20 knots and reaches 25 knots at places with thundery rains.
Offshore, it will be southeasterly to southwesterly at a speed of 04-14 knots, shifting to northwesterly 15-25 knots by midnight.
Visibility will be 4-8 kilometers and 3 kilometres or less at places at times. Sea state inshore will be 1-2 feet at first, rising to 3 feet by night, while offshore it will be 1 to 3-4 feet rises to 4-7 feet by midnight.
