Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued an instrument of ratification on cabinet decision No. 1 of 2017, yesterday. The decision applies the provisions of law no. 24 of 2002 regarding the pensions of Qatari workers.
The cabinet decision applies these provisions to Doha Institute for Graduate Studies , Gulf Bridge International (GBI), Siemens AG and Venue Pro Management.
The Emir also issued an instrument of ratification for a draft agreement on cooperation in customs-related affairs signed between Qatar and Turkey. The draft agreement was signed in Trabzon on Dec. 18, 2016.
He also issued another instrument of ratification on a draft agreement in aerial services that was signed between Qatar and Burkina Faso in Doha on March 22, 2016.
Emiri decree No. 5 of 2017 ratifying a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of water resources signed between Qatar and Algeria was issued yesterday.
The Emir also issued decree No. 6 of 2017 ratifying an MoU on consumer protection, economic regulation and fraud signed between Qatar and Algeria. Both the MoUs signed in Doha on November 23, 2014, shall assume the power of law in accordance to article 68 of the constitution.
All the decrees and decisions are effective starting from their date of publication in the official gazette.
