Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a cable of condolences to President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Joachim Gauck, and Chancellor Angela Merkel on the victims of the plowing attack, which took place at a Berlin market and left a number of people killed and injured. The Emir wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani have also sent similar cables of condolences to Germany.
