Berlin: Three people were killed in the southern German town of Bayreuth late Sunday, the German police said.
The bodies of three victims were found near parked cars and another wounded person was found nearby after police received an emergency call that shots had been fired late last night, according to the German News Agency (dpa).
The identity of the dead and the motive for the shooting remained unknown.
The Bavarian town with a population of some 72,000 is known worldwide for its summer opera festival.
