Jeyoosh (Amer), ridden by Julien Augé, completed a stunning run to win the Prix The President of the UAE Cup (LPA), at Casablanca racecourse, Morocco on Sunday.
The Al Shaqab Racing-owned mare took the lead of the race beside Autza (Jaman).
Jeyoosh came in the middle of the home straight and managed to accelerate again. Jeyoosh was not even preoccupied by Bachar de Carrère’s (Kerbella) attack in the last 200 meters and she won easily.
Thomas Fourcy, trainer of the winner, said: “The mare was very good in the morning, but she did not travel well, so we were wondering if we would run her or not. Her owners trusted me in order to take the right decision and I thank them for that. Jeyoosh will now return to stud. She ends her career nicely.”
Seventh lately in the Qatar Cup – Prix Dragon (Gr1 PA), Jeyoosh appreciates Casablanca, since she is the title holder of the Grand Prix de SAR Le Prince Héritier Moulay Elhassan (Gr3 PA) 2016.
