‘Pavilion of Mercy Programme’ today

Ehsan-Center for empowerment and elderly care (Qatar Foundation of Elderly People Care) will host the seventh edition of ‘Pavilion of Mercy Programme’ today with 20 primary and secondary schools participating from various parts of the country.
The programme aims to enhance solidarity between generations and to encourage interactions.
The programme provides school students training on communication, skills and etiquette when dealing with the elderly.
Pavilion of mercy programme will have lectures and training workshops during the weekdays of schools.
“The programme hopes to raise awareness and help students establish good communication skills with elders to create good relationships. This programme includes a competition between students through which we endeavour to develop the value of respecting elders. This is to make them aware in understanding physiological, health and social aspects of elders,” said Khalid Abdullah Hussein, Director of Public Relations and Media, Ehsan .
“I invite all the schools who are willing to take part in the eight edition which will be held in academic year 2017-18,” he  added.
