Doha: Ezdan World Company, a subsidiary of Ezdan Holding Group, has announced to launch a series of recreational projects designed for different age groups, which is poised to bring a paradigm shift in the entertainment field, and reviving Qatar’s tourism industry.

The company is anticipating a significant rise in the number of visitors to the “Magical Festival Village" during the coming season. Ezdan World expects a 30 percent rise in the number of visitors to the Village in its second season compared to the first season, which has seen a great success since its inception with a daily average exceeding 7,000 visitors on weekdays and 19,000 during the weekends.

The Magical Village comprises a unique selection of the most entertaining games appealing to all age categories and that would satisfy the audience’s various tastes and preferences. It also includes a series of top restaurants and cafes spread in wide areas, as well as commercial outlets showcasing the world’s most prominent brands of clothes, perfumes and other products, in addition to venues for diverse entertainment shows.

The village’s entertainment programmes are specifically designed for families and their children, providing enjoyable play shows such as Aladdin, Snow White and Alice in Wonderland in a 3D holographic display, in order to attract the largest number of audience, children & families in particular.

The Magical Festival Village’s design is inspired from the world most fascinating recreational villages, developed by a group of well-known professional engineers and experts in the entertainment field, who emphasised on selecting the most prominent commercial outlets and the most exciting and thrilling recreational festivals, carnivals and games.

“The company is to launch a series of recreational projects designed for different age groups, creating a paradigm shift in the entertainment field, and reviving the tourism sector in Qatar to reach highest levels” said Abdulaziz Al Mohannadi, General Manager of Ezdan World.

He added that the Magical Festival Village’s events, throughout its duration, would receive thousands of visitors exceeding the first season’s number, in particular from inside Qatar and GCC region.

The first season, held at the beginning of the current year, was attended by 70 percent of Qatari and GCC citizens, 20 percent of different Arabs and 10 percent of other nationalities. The Village included 400 outlets, in which 75 percent were rented due to the facilitations provided by the company for the participants, in addition to the overwhelming turnout.

“The Magical Festival Village has achieved the goal that has always been desired, which is inaugurating a comprehensive recreational village in Qatar to be the centre of attraction for families in Qatar and from neighbouring countries, without the need to travel abroad. The project was designed in a European countryside style that flows seamlessly with the Qatari original character to demonstrate our identity and culture. Activities started at a time when the weather was more pleasant in Qatar, as the village open its gates from the beginning of the winter until the end of spring,” said Al Mohannadi.
