Doha: The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) is set to organize a special celebration on Saturday at the Katara Opera House, in the Cultural Village - Katara.
The event is held in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Austria to the State of Qatar, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Austria.
This celebration of music and diplomatic culture underscores the rock-solid ties between the two nations, epitomizing harmony, shared appreciation, and the cultural exchange that has flourished over the past five decades.
Spearheaded by Pablo Mielgo, the concert pays homage to the long-standing friendship and productive cooperation between the two countries by performing masterpieces of globally renowned Austrian composers, namely Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gustav Mahler, Joseph Haydn, Franz von Suppé, Carl Millöcker, Carl Zeller, and Johann Strauss II.
