Doha: The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) has announced key details for the upcoming fourth edition of the Qatar Real Estate Forum, set to take place from October 27 to 29 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
Held under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the high-profile event is organized in partnership with Informa Tharawat.
Addressing a press conference outlining preparations for the forum, HE Aqarat President Mohammed Al Maliki noted that the 2026 edition arrives at a critical juncture marked by fast-paced geopolitical and economic shifts globally.
Despite regional complexities, Qatar's real estate sector has demonstrated resilience and robust growth. Data from the Ministry of Justice's Real Estate Registration Department revealed that total property trading value reached QR 10.69 billion approximately ($2.9 billion) during the first half of 2026.
He added that Aqarat aims to launch a forum that keeps pace with the positive transformations witnessed by the sector, enhances integration and connectivity among various stakeholders, and opens broader horizons for building strategic partnerships and exploring qualitative investment opportunities.
He added the fourth edition will focus on how global capital is currently being directed toward major restructuring of investment portfolios, driven by high-tech transformations and the search for safe havens that provide sustainable returns.
He noted that this edition will highlight the tokenization of real estate assets as a modern and innovative financial tool, according to a draft law approved by the cabinet in August.
Meanwhile, CEO of Qatari Diar Hamad bin Talal Al-Thani said the company has evolved into a key driver that cemented Qatar's position as a reliable investment destination regionally and internationally.
He revealed that the company's economic portfolio currently includes more than 41 investments, assets, and projects under development distributed across numerous countries worldwide.
He noted Qatari Diar's transition toward a new strategic phase based on efficiency and sustainability, targeting the optimal management of assets to maximize their economic value while committing to the highest standards of governance to support the economic and developmental dimensions of Qatar National Vision 2030.
In turn, Group CEO of Barwa Real Estate Ahmed Al Tayeb said this year's edition would mark a new milestone in its journey, with its rich discussions and qualitative partnerships contributing to opening new horizons for Qatar's real estate sector.
He noted that Barwa's continuous sponsorship of the forum reaffirms its commitment to contributing to this constructive dialogue, supporting everything that enhances the sector's competitiveness, and exploring new opportunities for investment and development in line with the state's aspirations and National Vision 2030.
He added that real estate development is not achieved through property projects alone, but also requires effective partnerships, an attractive investment environment, the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and a continuous capacity for innovation and responsiveness to market changes.
Chief Commercial Officer at Informa Tharawat Wouter Molman stated that the partnership with Aqarat centers on transforming regulatory reforms into tangible market activity.
Aqarat provides the regulatory leadership that boosts investor confidence, while Cityscape provides the international platform and network needed to deliver Qatar's opportunities to a broader audience, he added.
The fourth Qatar Real Estate Forum aims to highlight a radical transformation in the real estate sector, moving beyond the traditional concept of development, buying, and selling to establish its position as a core pillar in the investment, wealth management, and capital ecosystem.
The forum brings together government leaders, developers, investors, policymakers, and senior industry decision-makers to discuss factors shaping the future of the real estate sector, review challenges and opportunities, and explore practical pathways that support sector growth and enhance its ability to attract local and foreign investments.
The forum is held in strategic partnership with Cityscape Qatar, embodying ongoing cooperation aimed primarily at enhancing the state's real estate investment environment, supporting governance and transparency, and attracting capital through the organization of joint events and platforms, as the forum coincides with the Cityscape exhibition
