DOHA: Katara is gearing up to host the second edition of Katara European Jazz Festival which will see musicians from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the Netherlands perform at Katara.
Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager, Katara, met Netherlands Ambassador Yvette Burghgraef-Van Eechoud yesterday to discuss her country’s participation.
“Katara is keen to host activities organised in line with its vision of bridging the gap among people and enriching the principles of openness on cultures and civilisations. The festival will be a great space for the lover of jazz to meet prominent musicians and bands,” said Dr Al Sulaiti.
“We are glad to take part in the second edition of the dazzling event,” said the envoy.
This is the first time the Netherlands is taking part in the festival. It will be represented by Dutch musician Michiel Borstalp at the festival. The Peninsula
