DOHA: A criminal court has sentenced five Filipinos to jail for one year and fined QR20,000 each for drug use.
According to the court order, the four accused will be deported to their home country after completing their jail term, Al Raya reported today.
According to reports one of the accused asked a police source to sell him marijuana worth QR2,000 and asked to meet him at one of the Doha hotels.
In the subsequent police action they discovered drugs and QR12,400 in cash, suspected to be from the sales of drugs, with him and the other accused.
