DOHA: Qatar University (QU), in collaboration with United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), is set to launch a workshop on a series of research papers and scientific articles on September 5 and 6, 2022, in the latest initiative of Academic Network for Development Dialogue (ANDD) that primarily aims to encourage organized dialogue on the most complex problems in the Arab region.
Through the series of research papers under the theme "Possibility of Building on the Similarities Between Arab Nations With the Objective of Strengthening Sustainable Development in the Region", ANDD seeks to engage young researchers, students, and UN employers under the supervision of professional experts to further confer on various aspects of the subjects under discussion.
The organizers have chosen nine research papers from a total of more than sixty papers presented to the workshop under the supervision of an elite of arbitrators from the members of ANDD.
The papers address a number of critical issues, including the role of innovation in boosting economic diversification in oil-exporting countries in the Middle East & North Africa, Arab trade, and its contribution to solving the river Nile water issue for the benefit of both Egypt & Sudan, in addition to developing the essential skills required for the maximization of the utilization of the integration in global value chains, and the era of digital knowledge in the time of COVID-19 pandemic (challenges and solutions).
The workshop program includes sessions and lectures to be conducted by a broad range of experts in the field of publication in magazines, methodology of writing scientific articles, and ways of exploring the impact of articles and papers on policymakers and policy practitioners, in addition to the participation of a host of post-graduate students from QU in these sessions.
