Al Gharafa registered a solid 2-0 win against Slovakia's FC STK 1914 Samorin in their Qatari clubs saw mixed fortunes in their pre-season friendly match yesterday. Goals from Ferjani Sassi and Jassim Fahad Al Zaraa secured the victory for the Cheetahs.
Elsewhere, Al Rayyan fell to a 0-2 defeat against Spanish side Albacete at the La Finca Golf and Spa Resort in Algorfa, Spain. Both goals came late in the match from Albacete's Jon Morcillo, who found the net in the 77th minute and again in stoppage time (90'+1').
