Ambassador H E Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, Qatar’s permanent representative to the United Nations, met International Chamber of Commerce’s Secretary-General, John Danilovich. The Ambassador presented a briefing on the Gulf crisis and the commercial, economic and humanitarian impacts of the illegal and unfair siege imposed on Qatar. Sheikha Alia reiterated Qatar’s readiness to settle the crisis through diplomatic means. She also reviewed Qatar’s international and regional efforts to combat terrorism and violent extremism as well as its role in international development.
