BEIRUT: Two Israeli bulldozers, braced with a Merkava tank and a 25-strong element foot patrol, crossed on Tuesday morning the technical wire in the outskirts of the town of Kfer Shouba inside the Lebanese territories, Lebanese army said in a statement.
The breaching vehicles penetrated the border for a distance of 50 meters, demolishing an existing room in the area before leaving towards the occupied territories.
The army units deployed in the region adopted the appropriate field measures and followed up on the violation in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, the statement added.
