Doha, Qatar: The third edition of the Indian Mango Festival continued to attract large crowds on its second day, welcoming a record 21,600 visitors and recording mango sales of 18,000 kilograms, organizers announced.
The festival, taking place at the Eastern Square of Souq Waqif, will run until June 27, 2026. It is organized by the Celebrations Organizing Committee of the Private Engineering Office in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of India in Qatar.
The event offers visitors a unique cultural and commercial experience that combines premium Indian mango varieties with a wide range of mango-based products, while showcasing elements of India’s rich heritage and culture.
Building on the remarkable success of its previous editions, the festival has established itself as one of the region’s leading seasonal speciality events. The second edition attracted more than 114,400 visitors and recorded mango sales exceeding 130,000 kilograms. Organizers expect this year’s edition to draw even larger crowds amid growing public interest and the increasing popularity of Indian mangoes and related products in Qatar.
More than 35 Indian companies are participating in this year’s festival, presenting an extensive selection of premium mango varieties and mango-inspired products.
Visitors can enjoy a diverse range of foods, fresh juices, desserts, pickles, and other speciality products made from mangoes.
Among the most sought-after varieties featured at the festival are Alphonso, Mallika, Kesar, and Langra mangoes. To ensure maximum freshness and quality, the fruits are flown in daily from India and delivered directly to consumers.
The festival aims to strengthen cultural and commercial ties between Qatar and India while promoting some of the finest Indian mango varieties in the Qatari market. It also provides Indian companies with an opportunity to showcase their products, supports tourism and commercial activities at Souq Waqif, and reinforces the festival’s status as an annual destination for visitors from within Qatar and abroad.
The exhibition is open daily from 4pm to 10pm, offering visitors an opportunity to enjoy a family-friendly experience that combines shopping, entertainment, and cultural discovery.
The organizing committee has invited the public to visit the festival and enjoy its wide selection of premium mangoes and mango-based food products. It also expressed confidence that attendance will continue to rise throughout the event, supported by the success of previous editions, the increased number of participating companies, and the introduction of new mango varieties and products to the Qatari market for the first time.
