DFC launches month-long ‘Bon Appetit’ food festival

Doha Festival City yesterday launched the month-long International Food Event, ‘Bon Appetit.’ The event was attended by the Italian Ambassador to Qatar H E Alessandro Prunas, Ambassador of Turkey to Qatar H E Dr. M Mustafa Goksu, DFC General Manager Robert Hall. 

Bon Appetit will run from June 20 to July 25 and feature signature dishes of Qatar, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and the USA. In addition, guests will enjoy a wide selection of the mall’s food and beverage (F&B) outlets, taking visitors on a one-of-a-kind culinary journey.

Robert Hall, Doha Festival City General Manager, said, “We are excited to launch our “Bon Appetit” international Food campaign and introduce Qatar’s eclectic community to different cuisines and traditions, bringing them together for a joyful gastronomic celebration. I want to thank our esteemed partners from the Embassies and sponsors such as L’eto café, Karafirin, Tawfeeq Travel, and CRAVE for their support in organizing such a unique campaign. 

“While we rejoice in being able to get back to in-person events, we at Festival City remain committed to the health and safety of our customers and staff, following the most thorough safety protocols.”

Customers also have the opportunity to win fantastic prizes. They will get the chance to participate in a raffle draw to win prizes from retailers and sponsors at Festival City and the grand prize, a Volvo S90 momentum 2020 car. To participate in the draw, customers must spend a minimum of QR50, which earns them a digital stamp.

They must register online via a special link & QR codes which will take them to the AI WhatsApp account, where they will be required to enter their information and complete the registration. Once the registration is finalised, the customer will have an online digital passport in the raffle draw campaign system.

Food Passport information desks located will be open for all the food campaign-related inquiries or registration assistance, between 2 pm and 10 pm on weekdays and 2 pm and 11 pm from Thursday to Saturday. In addition, passport booth branding will change every week to pay tribute to the various countries representing the diverse cuisines at the mall. 

“Bon Appetit” raffle draw participants will have a chance to win gift cards worth up to QAR 500, QAR 1000, and QAR 5,000, as well as trips for two to Turkey, France, Italy, UK, and the USA, or a Volvo S90 momentum 2020 as the first prize.
