ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Mohammad Asif said Saturday that steps are being taken to control load-shedding in the holy month of Ramazan.
Asif said that the electricity load has been split between different feeders in order to control unannounced load-shedding.
He said that the situation would improve in the next two to three days.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for K-Electric Usama Qureshi said that the power crisis in Karachi was due to a spike in usage and overloading on the system.
Qureshi said that electricity usage surged in the past two days due to excessive heat in Karachi, increasing load on the system and causing outages.
