DOHA: Over 100 companies from around the world will take part in the first edition of Qatar International Medical Devices and Healthcare Exhibition and Conference (QMED) to be held here from December 2 to 4 under the patronage of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH).
The event will take place at soon to open Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre in West Bay.
It is jointly organised by Sogha Exhibitions and Conferences (National) and ExCo Media (International) based in London.
Hamad Jassim Al Hamar, Director, Public Relations Department, SCH, said: “The SCH patronage for the event is testament to attention the council is giving to the health sector as part of its pivotal role in support of the sector.” The exhibition will have QBlue Zone for diabetes, one of the most important health issues in Qatar, the Gulf and the world. It aims to bring together professionals and international experts to address the issue and keep pace with global advancement in the field.
Khalifa Al Mohannadi, General Manager, Sogha Exhibitions and Conferences, said the event will be held on an area of about 5,000sqm, with participation of local and international companies and institutions.
The expo will have 10 key sections, including medical supplies industry, educational medicine sector, medical tourism and dental, supported by Qatar Diabetes Association, MENA Diabetes Federation and Qatar Dental Society. The Peninsula
