Malabar Gold and Diamonds initiatives to benefit many

DOHA: Malabar Gold and Diamonds, a leading jewellery retailer, is strengthening its CSR activities in the GCC countries and the Far East this Ramadan. In Qatar, the group will be associating with the Awqaf authorities to provide Iftar meals to over 1,000 labourers.
The jewellery group hosts Iftar events in various parts of the GCC states and the Far East, organising month-long activities in association with like-minded organisations. Over 100,000 residents in GCC states and the Far East will benefit from its CSR initiatives this Ramadan.
In the UAE, initiatives are planned to benefit the needy, and the group is planning to provide more than 60,000 special Iftar meals during this period. The group is also associating with the 14th Dubai Ramadan Forum, which is under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, and providing 1,000 Iftar meals daily during the month. Up to 800 Iftar meals will be provided daily at Sajaa industrial area camp with the support of Sharjah Charity International throughout the holy month of Ramadan. The group is conducting similar events across the UAE as a part of its CSR activities in the region in association with like-minded associations.
In Bahrain, the group is planning to provide more than 4,500 Iftar meals to labourers in different parts of Bahrain, such as Asker, Akker, Jau, Asari, Hamad Town and Isa Town, throughout Ramadan. As in previous years, it is associating with Discovery Islam, Al Hedaya Centre and Friendship Society for the Blind to carry out these activities in Bahrain.
In Kuwait, the group will provide Iftar meals to labourers in Al Bahar Abbasiya, Meena Adbulla camp inside Masjid, Mehbulla Tanzif Co camp, Wafra desert, Meena Al zoor, Finthaas etc. Over 3,000 people will benefit from this.
In Oman, it is distributing 10,000 Iftar kits in different areas, including Ruwi, Matra, Sohar and Salalah.
Six thousand people will benefit from its activities in Singapore during Ramadan.
The group will also distribute 5,450 Iftar meals in Malaysia during this period.
