New Delhi: Air India said on Wednesday that one of its domestic flights operating from Bengaluru to Delhi landed safely after the cockpit crew received a fire indication from one of the aircraft’s engines during the final approach into the Indian capital.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, the airline said Flight AI2802 followed all standard operating procedures after the warning was confirmed to be genuine.

The aircraft later landed safely at Delhi airport, while all passengers and crew members disembarked normally without injuries.

Air India said it has launched a full investigation into the incident in coordination with the relevant aviation authorities.

“The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority,” the airline said, adding that further verified updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
