KARACHI: The Sindh government has finally decided to fill the home ministry by appointing provincial lawmaker Sohail Anwar Khan Siyal to the long-vacant slot.
Sources in the ruling Pakistan People's Party told Geo News on Thursday that the party's leadership has decided the give Siyal, a 40-year-old lawmaker from Larkana, the key portfolio.
Siyal was elected as a member of the Sindh Assembly from the PS-35 LARKANA-I seat in the 2013 general elections.
Sources said that the lawmaker will be handed the portfolio at an oath-taking ceremony at 5:30PM today at the Governor House.
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah currently also holds the provincial home ministry portfolio.
