The 75-man Ad Hoc Committee on the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) is expecting the five-man peace council to attend the open public hearing on Monday next week and share their inputs and recommendations.
Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez, panel chairman, said they are counting on the members of the peace council, who are known for their integrity and wisdom, to join them in ironing out the provisions of House Bill 4994 or the Bangsamoro measure on April 27.
“Monday, next week, the peace council will be here. The peace council will be proposing their own inputs and recommendations to the BBL,” he told reporters before the resumption of the BBL deliberations.
He expressed hope that the peace advocates’ group could finalize their inputs and recommendations before the April 27 hearing.
