Qatar Charity inaugurated a medical centre in Pakistan to provide health services to thousands of patients who are in dire need of health care services. The centre has been provided with modern medical equipment and a medical staff that works 24 hours.
Al Jaber Medical Center is located in Attock in Punjab region and consists of two floors. Tthe first floor includes a patient waiting area, reception, and medical examination rooms, while the second floor includes gynaecological rooms and suites equipped with modern medical equipment in addition to a pharmacy and medical laboratory.
The centre's equipment includes an X-ray machine, ultrasound machine, beds, obstetrics and gynaecology equipment, surgical instruments, and other necessary equipment. Figures from the Embassy of Qatar in Pakistan and local officials attended the centre's inauguration ceremony.
Omar Hassan Al Hail, the Second Secretary of Qatar Embassy in Pakistan, said," A Qatari philanthropist contributed to building this health centre for the benefit of the people of this region, which has suffered from a shortage of health care services. Women, in particular, cannot go to hospitals for testing or treatment because of poverty. In response to these needs, Qatar Charity has established this centre, which is only a small part of the ongoing relief to provide humanitarian and development services in Pakistan.

Ehsanullah Waqas, the local partner of Qatar Charity and the vice president of Alkhidmat Foundation in Pakistan, commended building Al Jaber Medical Center, demonstrating that Alkhidmat Foundation implemented various developmental and humanitarian projects in Pakistan to help needy groups and the poor, in partnership with Qatar Charity.
He added that wherever he goes in Pakistan, he finds signs of Qatar Charity showing through a project launch or implementation. This indicates the generosity of the government and the people of Qatar who helped the people of Pakistan following the 2005 earthquake and other natural disasters.
"Qatar Charity makes interventions in the health sector taking into account the people's needs. It aims at supporting local development in Pakistan, particularly the health sector, education, water and sanitation, etc," Amin Abdul-Rahman, the acting director of QC's Office in Pakistan, said.
The people of Attock, who attended the inauguration of Al Jaber Medical Center, expressed their gratitude to Qatar Charity for establishing, equipping and operating the centre.
