Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has named Qatari winners of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance for 2016- 2017.
Nasser Khalaf Al Buainain from Al Wakra Secondary School for Boys and Buthaina Abdullah Arhamah Al Kuwari from Aisha Bint Abu Bakr Secondary Independent School for Girls won the Distinguished Student Award.
Haya Ayed Al Shammari from Al Bayan Preparatory School for Girls received the Distinguished Teacher Award and Al Wakra Secondary School for Boys won Distinguished School / School Administration.
Jaber Al Shawi, Coordinator of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Award in the State of Qatar, said the awards won by students and educators in Qatar reflected the quality of the educational system and the educational development witnessed by the country under the wise leadership, congratulating the winners who have worked hard in order to reach these achievements.
The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance seeks to improve the quality of the educational system and encourage initiatives, innovation and excellence in all literary and scientific domains.
