Doha: The Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will open a new local road that connects the Industrial Area Road to Bu Samra Street. Road users traveling between the Industrial Area Road and Balhambar Street can now use the 400 meter stretch of Umm Al Saneem Street. The newly opened road will be accessible Wednesday 22 March and comprises three lanes in each direction.
On Thursday 23 March, a diversion on Balhambar Street will route traffic to the newly opened road, as shown on the attached map. The diversion will be permanent and is in coordination with the Traffic Police Department. The traffic diversion is required to enable completion of New Industrial Area Road, which is part of the Development of Rawdat Al Khail Extension Street Project.
The Public Works Authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limit of 50 kph for the length of the diversion, and follow newly installed traffic road signs to ensure their safety.
