The Cabinet welcomed the resolution issued by Unesco, in which it fully approved that Al Aqsa Mosque (Al Haram Al Sharif) as one of the exclusive Islamic holy sites and classified it as an exclusive Islamic heritage and said that the Buraq Wall (Western Wall) is an integral part of the Al Aqsa Mosque.

The Cabinet expressed hope that Unesco’s resolution would give a new impetus to the international community to halt Israel’s repeated violations of the Al Aqsa Mosque and its continued attempts to judaise Jerusalem.
The Cabinet renewed, on this historic occasion, Qatar’s firm support to the Palestinian legitimate rights, particularly the right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Cabinet also approved a draft law amending some provisions of the Traffic Law promulgated by Decree Law No. 19 of 2007 and decided to refer it to the Advisory Council.
Under this amendment, the text of Article 55 of that Law is replaced by the following:  The motor vehicle driver undertakes to comply with: Avoid using any device by carrying, touching or watching it while driving; not to allow children under the age of ten to sit in the front seats while the vehicle is on the move.
