Doha: The Referees Committee of the Asian Football Confederation has assigned Qatari referees to officiate the match between hosts South Korea and Syria in Matchday 3 of the third qualifying round for the World Cup Qatar 2022.
The match will be played on October 17 in Seoul.
The officials who will be in action are Abdul Rahman Al Jassim (main referee), assisted by Saud Ahmed and Talib Salem, and Saud Al Abdo - the fourth referee.
The Syrian team is in currently occupying the fourth place in Group A with one point after drawing with the UAE, and losing to Iran.
South Korea are in the second place with four points.
The Syrian team is also expected to establish a short training camp before heading to South Korea, where they will face also play a friendly match against China.
