Cairo: President of the Arab Republic of Egypt HE Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Thursday in Cairo, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. HE the Prime Minister is in Cairo to lead the State of Qatar's delegation in the proceedings of the seventh session of the Joint Higher Committee between the two countries.
At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HE the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, along with His Highness's wishes for his continued health and happiness, and for the brotherly people of Egypt continued progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, the latest regional developments were reviewed, as well as the diplomatic efforts to reduce escalation, contain tensions, and enhance security and stability in the region, and the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
