The Ministry of Public Health has announced that Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will host consultants with expertise in many fields including surgery and rehabilitation.
A press release from HMC said that increasing the support of the programme of visiting consultants and specialists to the corporation during the summer comes to facilitate citizens and spare them the costs and hardship of travel abroad in the current circumstances. Minister of Public Health, H E Dr Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari said that these measures are in line with the statement issued by the Council of Ministers issued on June 5, which said the state is taking all measures to confront this crisis.
Last week, rehabilitation consultants from Wellington Hospital in the UK arrived here and conducted visits to patients at the Qatar Rehabilitation Center. Meanwhile, HMC will host Dr Antonio Torres, a senior consultant in obesity diseases from Spain and Dr Helmuth Bailey, consultant in bariatric surgery from the United States.
