Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC) the apex body of the Indian business & professionals in Qatar, working under the aegis of the Indian Embassy, organised a farewell event for Mr. Dinesh Udenia, First Secretary at the Indian Embassy, Doha and the Coordinating Officer of IBPC recently at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Qatar.
The chief guest at the event was P. Kumaran, the Ambassador of India to Qatar and the patron of all the apex bodies of Indian community. The presidents of Indian apex associations — ICC, ICBF and ISC, members of IBPC, prominent community leaders, Indian Embassy officials and guests, attended the event.
KM Varghese, President of IBPC, while welcoming the Ambassador and the distinguished guests, thanked Dinesh Udenia for his association with IBPC as the Coordinating Officer, and the key role he played during his tenure by guiding and advising the Managing Committee on important matters and crucial decisions.
The presidents of apex bodies also reminisced their association with Udenia in their felicitation speech. Speaking at the farewell ceremony, Ambassador Kumaran said, “The Embassy is going to miss the services of one of its finest officers, however, I wish Udenia all the best in his next assignments”. He also added that the Embassy through its officers, have always made their best efforts to enrich the excellent bilateral relationship between India and Qatar.”
Dinesh Udenia in his remarks highlighted his pleasant experience during his tenure in Qatar especially his association with IBPC. He expressed his satisfaction in the role he was able to play in the advancement of business between Qatar and India and the development of the IBPC to a broad based organisation.
