The complementary group of the sixth batch of Turkish troops arrived in the State of Qatar, the Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defence announced.
The group, which comes in the framework of joint military cooperation between the State of Qatar and the sisterly Republic of Turkey, comprises artillery commanders, two C17 aircraft and a number of cannons from the Turkish Army’s artillery division.
Upon the arrival of the Complementary Group, it began its maneuvers and exercises within its joint tasks with the Qatari armed forces as part of its operations of combatting terrorism and violent extremism.
Turkish troops have been carrying out their missions since their first arrival in Doha, according to an agreement on defense cooperation between the two brotherly countries aimed at preserving security and combating terrorism and extremism in the region.
