SWS: Aquino scores +30 net satisfaction rating in June, up from +11 in March

The public satisfaction rating of President Aquino improved to a net of +30 (57 percent satisfied minus 27 percent dissatisfied) by 19 points in a survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) this month of June, with the rise coming from Mindanao, Luzon outside of Metro Manila, and Visayas, but not in Metro Manila.

SWS described the +30 June net rating as “good” while the previous survey’s +11 March rating was described as “moderate.”

The 57 percent of the respondents who expressed satisfaction with Aquino’s performance is 10 points higher than the 47 percent recorded in March. The 27 percent who expressed dissatisaction in June was down from the 36 percent recorded in March.

By regions, Aquino’s net rating was highest in Mindanao – +39 – which is 14 points more than the  +25 in March.

The President’s lowest net rating was in Metro Manila – +8 – compared to +7 last March.

In the rest of Luzon, Aquino’s net satisfaction rating improved to +30 from -3 two months ago.

In the Visayas, it was  +35 from +30 two months ago.

SWS described net satisfaction scores of +70 and above as “excellent,” +50 to +69 as “very good,” +30 to +49 as “good,” +10 to +29 as “moderate,” +9 to -9 as “neutral,” -10 to -29 as “poor,” -30 to -49 as “bad,” -50 to -69 as “very bad,” and -70 and below as “execrable.”

By classes, Aquino’s net satisfaction rating improved in Class ABC to +44 (64 percent satisfied minus 20 percent dissatisfied), compared to +6 (41 percent satisfied minus 35 percent dissatisfied) in March.

In Class E, the President’s net rating was +34 (58 percent satisfied minus 23 percent dissatisfied), 16 points higher than the +18 (49 percent satisfied minus 32 percent dissatisfied) in March.

In Class D, his net rating was +27 (57 percent satisfied m ins 29 percent dissatisfied), 17 points higher than the +10 (47 percent satisfied mins 37 percent dissatisfied) in March.

In Malacañang, President Aquino said he was grateful that the people recognize his efforts to improve the delivery of public services and for reforms in government as he vowed to intensify public service, continue to fight corruption, and boost economic growth in the remainder of his term.
