Qatar Stock Exchange closes lower as market cap falls

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark index falling 65.58 points, or 0.63%, to finish at 10,352.70 points.

A total of 123.3 million shares were traded during the session, with a combined value of more than QR 380.4 million across 23,000 transactions.

Shares in 10 companies advanced, while 40 declined and three remained unchanged by the close of trading.

Market capitalization fell to approximately QR 619.5 billion, down from QR 622.8 billion in the previous session, reflecting broader weakness across sectors.
