Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairman of Mohammed bin Hamad Holding Group, inaugurated a second branch of Ibn Al Haytham Company, a reputed medical company in Qatar, dealing with medical supplies.
The group has expansion plans which include opening of new branch for Doha Clinic Hospital in Abu Sidra area, said Sheikh Jassim, adding that the hospital will have 100 beds.
The inauguration ceremony of the new branch took place on Thursday in the presence of a number of doctors and representatives of hospitals and clinics.
During the past two decades, investment in medical sector has become attractive in Doha, and hundreds of clinics and a number of hospitals have been opened including Doha Clinic Hospital, said Dr Osman Al Saied, Director of the hospital and Chairman of Ibn Al Haytham Center.
Ibn Al Haytham Center supplies all private hospitals and clinics with medical equipment, in particular the new medical facilities, he added.
Ibn Al Haytham Co cooperates with several agencies and companies like Serono Switzerland, Kuwait Saudi Pharmaceutical Company, Advancement Pharmaceutical, Tedec Company, OMRON German Company etc.
Private sector investments are still below the required level if we take into account the population growth the country has witnessed during the past years, said Dr Ashraf Karrarah, Medical Director at Doha Clinic Hospital.
