Doha, Qatar: Chairman of the General Authority of Customs HE Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Jamal, and a number of officials from the Authority, conducted an inspection visit yesterday morning at the Abu Samra Border Crossing, as part of following up on the implementation of work systems and inspection and examination procedures, in addition to reviewing the customs clearance stages for shipments and consignments arriving at the crossing.
His Excellency also reviewed the flow of goods through the inspection platforms designated for land shipments, and the smooth entry of foodstuff and strategic commodity consignments.
The tour also included the passenger terminal, where His Excellency inspected vehicle customs inspection procedures and baggage screening mechanisms for travelers, in a manner that enhances the quality of services provided at the crossing.
This visit comes within the Authority’s efforts aimed at providing distinguished customs services and contributing to meeting the needs of the local market, especially given the current circumstances the region is experiencing.
