Doha: Al Duhail star Edmilson Junior yesterday underwent a successful surgery on his heel in Porto, Portugal, the club announced on its website.
The Red Knights talisman will be out of action in the upcoming weeks and will start rehabilitation after recovering from the surgery, the club added.
Edmilson, who suffered the injury in the heel ligament during match against Al Rayyan last August, has struggled for complete fitness this season.
