Mahaseel Souq in Katara to continue until May 15

Doha: Shop for fresh Qatari agricultural products including fruits, vegetables, honey, dates, flowers and plants at Mahaseel Souq located at Katara southern area which will run every weekends (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) until May 15.

Organised by the Cultural Village, Katara, the souq is open from 9am to 9pm. It offers competitive prices and high quality locally produced food products.

Dedicated food stalls are also in place which offer drinks, juices, crepes and pastries. 

Shop from a variety of vegetables and fruits which include radish, parsley, coriander, dill, mint, ginger, thyme, onion, jute mallow, spinach, basil, carrot, beetroot, tomato, and cherry tomato, among others. Poultry, meat and dairy products can also be purchased at the souq, along with flowers, ornamental and herb plants. Among herbs and spices available are rosemary, mint, thyme, and parsley. 

Meanwhile, exhibitors are also selling various flowers in small or big pots including bougainvillea, aloe vera, money plant, spider plant, and sunflower.

Mahaseel Souq started after the sixth Mahaseel Festival concluded on March 12. 

A huge public turnout has been recorded for this year’s edition. Several dignitaries visited the festival praising high quality of products and diversity of the local products, in addition to competitive prices.

Around 40 companies are participating wherein 25 are local farms.
